Roles and Responsibilities:
- Generate department correspondence and reports
- Screens/prioritizes/directs incoming calls and email/correspondence taking appropriate actions as necessary
- Maintain CEO’s calendar, coordinate meetings, and set appointments
- Provide clerical support, direction, and support, to the CEO
- Acting as the point of contact between the executive and internal/external stakeholders·
- Preparing technical documents and briefs on emerging issues or areas of concern, at the Executive’s request.
- Consolidating the relevant documentation and capturing summaries in order to enable subsequent review and revert.
- Attend meetings when needed and perform review of action items. · Information preparation duties, which include writing letters and memos, compiling data for reports, creating computerized presentations, writing reports
- Setting up and managing both electronic and paper filing systems. ∙

Position Overview:
Our client is a leading Oilfield Development & Management company, diversifying into Exploration. The company is in need of a versatile Group Finance Manager to coordinate the group organization’s finances.
As the Group Finance Manager, chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and strategy for both the oil servicing and exploration operations. This position is dynamic between Lagos and Port Harcourt, as the candidate’s location will be determined based on operational needs with appropriate off-location arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals and industry trends.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Implement robust risk management policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic investments.
- Tax and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and manage relationships with tax authorities and auditors.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including profitability, variance analysis, and cost control measures.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA and professional qualification (ACA, ACCA).
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the oil and gas industry, servicing and exploration.
- Experience in the upstream Oil and Gas industry (marginal fields, JV blocks, or Production Sharing
- Contracts)
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of financial modelling, financial systems, and ERP software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of oil servicing, exploration, and production processes, with a solid grasp of industry-specific financial metrics and challenges.
- Communication Skill: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders effectively.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams, driving results, and fostering a culture of accountability and transparency.
